Hallie Sawyers, LMT, APP, BCTMB, NCHA
Hallie Sawyers is the founder of Soul Song, offering continuing education in a wide spectrum of alternative approaches to health and wellness. She is an established and respected educator with extensive post-graduate training in energy work and body-centered therapies. Her work with individual clients draws on techniques from the many disciplines in which she is trained.
Hallie has been practicing massage therapy since 1996 and is licensed in Connecticut and New York. She is Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, an approved continuing education provider for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and has been offering continuing education classes since 2000. She spent 4 years teaching the massage curriculum for Cortiva Institute (formerly Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy) and 13 years as an instructor for Finger Lakes School of Massage in both Ithaca and Mt. Kisco, NY.
Beyond therapeutic massage, Hallie is proficient in a wide variety of other bodywork and energy work modalities including hot stone massage, Reiki, holistic aromatherapy, polarity therapy, Integrated Energy Therapy, reflexology and labyrinth work.
Lectures and training in the above modalities are regularly scheduled in Connecticut and surrounding areas upon request. Curriculum for all classes is portable and can be tailor-made for massage schools, licensed healthcare professionals, laypeople, organizations, or corporations wanting to introduce the benefits of these healing modalities to consumers or staff. All of Hallie's classes are approved for NCBTMB and NYS continuing education credit.
Hallie also has 10 years of experience in companion and personal care services. She is a dedicated caregiver who delights in helping people continue to enjoy independence and the comfort of home. The benefits of home care include: maintaining independence without interrupting routines and surroundings, personalized care that is available as needed, overall increased quality of life through continuing access to friends, family, and pets, transportation to doctor appointments and errands, and assistance with maintaining medication schedules and personal care.
